Qtrade Investor tops big banks in survey of online brokerage investor satisfaction

VANCOUVER, B.C., September 15, 2017 — Qtrade Investor ranks in the top tier for client satisfaction among the 11 Canadian online brokerages included in the J.D. Power 2017 Canadian Self-Directed Investor Satisfaction Study.

On the study's 1,000 point scale, Qtrade Investor's score of 778 ranks in the top two, ahead of all the major bank's online brokerage services, and 18 points above the industry average. Just 7 points separate Qtrade's score from first-ranked Desjardins Online Brokerage.

According to J.D. Power, the study includes responses from 2,609 investors who primarily invest with a self-directed investment platform. Respondents were asked to rate their satisfaction with six key factors: interaction; account information; information resources; trading charges and fees; product offerings; and problem resolution.

"Canadian investors have more choices than ever before, and in such a competitive market, it's extremely important for providers to deliver the services and value that investors expect," said Bill Packham, CEO, Qtrade Financial Group. "Recognition from industry analysts validates our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement and gives confidence to our clients that they have made a good decision to choose Qtrade Investor."

"The team at Qtrade is proud of the results from this J.D. Power study," said Catherine Wood, Qtrade Financial Group's Senior VP and Head of Online Brokerage and Digital Advice. "We operate with a 'clients first' approach in all decisions related to enhancements to our service, focusing on areas that matter most to our clients. We consider it a real win to be ranked among the best nationwide for customer satisfaction."
