Terms and Conditions - Qtrade Fall Offer 2026 (the “Offer”)

1.       The Offer

Open and fund a new Qtrade Direct Investing account and you may be eligible for a cashback bonus (the “Cashback Bonus”) as follows:

To qualify:

✓Offer applicable to new Qtrade Direct Investing clients only.

✓Open a new account with Qtrade Direct Investing (a “New Account”) using promo code OFFER2026 (the “Promo Code”) by January 5, 2027.

✓Deposit Net New Deposits into the New Account by February 5, 2027.

✓Hold your Net New Deposits in the New Account until February 5, 2028. 

Sign-up bonus: Clients who fund their New Account with at least $25,000 within the first 30 days of account opening will receive an additional $100 sign-up bonus (the “Sign-Up Bonus”, and collectively with the Cashback Bonus, the “Bonus”)

Examples:

  • A new client opens a New Account using the Promo Code within the Offer Period (as defined below) and deposits $10,000 which remains in the New Account until February 5 , 2028. That new client is eligible to receive $500 as a Cashback Bonus.
  • A new client opens a New Account using the Promo Code within the Offer Period and deposits $100,000 but removes $100,000 before February 5 , 2028. The new client is not eligible to receive any Cashback Bonus because all deposits were removed before February 5, 2028.
  • A new client opens a New Account using the Promo Code within the Offer Period and, within 10 days of account opening, deposits $50,000 into the New Account. The client will be eligible to receive the $100 Sign-Up Bonus on or around March 5, 2027, and if the total deposited amount remains in the account until February 5, 2028 the new client is eligible to receive $700 as a Cashback Bonus.

2.       This Cash Back Offer is subject to the following Terms and Conditions:

Offer Period

This Offer is available to new clients with New Accounts opened between September 1, 2026 at 12:00 am ET and January 5, 2027 at 11:59 pm ET (the “Offer Period”). NOTE: an account application must be opened by January 5, 2027 and funds must be deposited or transferred into your Qtrade Direct Investing account by February 5, 2027.

Qualifying Account Criteria

The account application form associated with the qualifying account must have the Promo Code (OFFER2026) applied to it and must be submitted during the Offer Period.

To qualify, the New Account opened must be a CAD Cash (individual or joint), USD Cash (individual or joint), CAD Margin (individual or joint), USD Margin (individual or joint) RESP, CAD RRSP, CAD RRIF, CAD Spousal RRSP, CAD Spousal RRIF, USD RRSP, USD RRIF, USD Spousal RRSP, USD Spousal RRIF, LIRA, LRSP, CAD TFSA, USD TFSA, CAD FHSA or USD FHSA. Delivery Against Payment (DAP) accounts are ineligible for this Offer. Corporate accounts are excluded from the Offer.

Limit of one (1) Cashback Bonus and Sign-Up Bonus per qualifying client (joint accounts have one ‘client’). In the event that a client opens multiple eligible accounts, the qualifying funds can be based on the total new assets across all New Accounts opened. In this case, each New Account must be opened using the Promo Code and funded with new assets, and approved by Qtrade Direct Investing, to be totaled for the offer.

Some account types (such as RRSP, RRIF, cash and margin accounts) offer both CAD and USD accounts. These are separate accounts and are treated as such under the Offer.

In the case of a spousal account or joint account, only the primary account holder will be entitled to receive a Bonus.

New Accounts must meet Qtrade Direct Investing’s account opening and related documentation requirements and be approved by Qtrade Direct Investing in its sole and absolute discretion.

Qualifying accounts must be in good standing and not have encountered a debit position or margin call throughout the Offer Period and remain as such until 11:59 pm ET on March 5, 2028.

Qualifying Transfer Criteria

“Net New Deposits” means cash and/or securities deposited into a Qtrade Direct Investing account sourced from a non-Qtrade Direct Investing account. In order to qualify as a qualifying deposit or transfer, assets transferred must not include any securities that are restricted, subject to a cease trade order, or that are non-listed and without independent evidence of current value acceptable to Qtrade Direct Investing.

Qualifying deposit or transfer funds may originate from an investment or bank account at any Canadian financial institution or broker.

Net New Deposits must remain in the qualifying account until 11:59 pm ET on February 5 , 2028. Any withdrawals or transfers out prior to this date will decrease the amount of Net New Deposits that qualify for the Offer.

Eligibility Criteria

The Offer is available only to New Accounts opened by new Qtrade Direct Investing clients.

You must apply the Promo Code on the New Account application form to be eligible to receive a Bonus.

The qualifying account must be opened during the Offer Period.

This Offer is non-transferable and will not be valid in conjunction with any other offer or promotion from Qtrade Direct Investing.

This Offer can only be used once per client and cannot be applied on previously or subsequently submitted account applications to Qtrade Direct Investing.

You must be a Canadian resident who is of the age of majority in your respective province or territory when submitting your New Account application.

General

The Cashback Bonus will be delivered to the primary qualifying account holder’s account on or around March 5 , 2028. The Sign-Up Bonus will be paid to eligible clients on or around March 5 , 2027.

In case of multiple accounts being opened, the Bonus will be paid to eligible accounts in the following order: 1) Cash accounts 2) Margin accounts 3) Registered accounts. 

Clients who qualify for this Offer will not be eligible for any other offers or promotions from Qtrade Direct Investing until January 5, 2028.

You are solely responsible for any tax consequences arising from or in connection with: this Offer; the transfer of any assets into the qualifying account; and/or the payment of any Bonus into the qualifying account.

All dollar amounts mentioned in relation to this Offer are in Canadian dollars.

The amount of any transfer-in fee charged by another Canadian broker or financial institution will be credited to your qualifying account in the currency (either CAD or USD) in which your transfer was made (up to a maximum of CAD/USD $150 per client when you transfer $15,000 or more), subject to Qtrade Direct Investing’s receipt of the documentation evidencing such transfer-in fee. This is part of the Offer and does not constitute a combining of Qtrade Direct Investing offers.

Qtrade Direct Investing reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to modify, suspend, disqualify, limit or revoke this Offer to any person or account holder for any reason, including but not limited to manipulation or abuse of the process, fairness, integrity or operation of the Offer.

In the event of any error, omission, or miscalculation, Qtrade Direct Investing reserves the right to correct, adjust, withhold, reverse, or recover any Bonus payment to the extent permitted by law. Any Bonus payment timing is subject to operational requirements and may be delayed. Qtrade Direct Investing is not responsible for delays caused by system issues, third parties, or other events outside its reasonable control.

The terms and conditions of this offer, including its overall availability, are at the sole and absolute discretion of Qtrade Direct Investing and are subject to change at any time without prior notice.
